With 2020 officially behind us, it is time to set new goals for success this year. Should you set goals for success in 2021? Remember, just having good intentions alone changes nothing. A resolution without a plan is just wishful thinking. When setting new goals remember to make them specific and measurable. Here are some of my 2021 goals!
Goals for success in 2021:
Business Goals
1. Re-launch our Website
The first thing that a business needs is a website where people can learn about your business, products or services. Regularly updating your website isn’t easy but it is important and will benefit you in the long run. One of our goals this year is to re-launch our website. Making sure that our site is optimized for both the search engines and conversions is a priority.
2. Create Explainer Videos
Video is one of the most consumed forms content there is. It is especially important for businesses that want to spread brand awareness. Explainer videos help people understand your product or service and how it can help them. Having an explainer video on our website would help target customers understand the value that we provide.
Personal Goals
3. Read 12 Books
I love to read but I never seem to have time for it. Whether it is fiction or personal development books, there is always something good to read. But sometimes I just get out of the habit of it and realize I’ve gone months without reading! I think that reading one book per month seems like a good start. My plan is to limit my phone usage before bed and replace that with reading.
4. Create a Morning Routine
I am a morning person. I have the most energy in the morning and want to tackle everything on my to do list. A good morning routine sets the tone for the rest of your day. But like reading, sometimes I go months without a routine. Now that we are working from home, morning routines are essential. I want to create a routine that actually helps me to wake up and enjoy the morning rather than rushing and spending hours on my phone.
Finally, make sure to write down your goals. Seeing your goals in paper will help you hold yourself accountable and track your progress along the way. Also, don’t get discouraged if you get off track. Life happens. As long as you stay focused on the end goal and keep taking small steps toward getting there, you’ll be on your way to big life-change.
